Hi, I'm Farhan Saif

I am a PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Luis Pina in University of Illinois Chicago exploring research questions around memory models and multi-version execution of managed languages.

Also, I'm thankful to Prashast Srivastava as I got to explore in details on directed fuzzing.

Before that, I did my undergrad from the Islamic University of Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh. My undergraduate research was in finding vulnerabilities in webassembly binaries.

Recent works

• Python RR and MVE(Under development): Can we apply the same techniques for existing record-replay and multi-version execution systems in case of free threading python without the global interpreter lock? This is a research question under investigation where we have to apply compiler engineering concepts in the source level and graduallly dive deep into the lower levels of python virtual machine.
